EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -Issues are trying slightly greener within the Chippewa Valley Thursday.
Round this time yearly, Chippewa Valley Growers in Eau Claire donates 1000’s of crops to native church buildings, aged care amenities, and quite a few different organizations. On the finish of the rising season, unsold annuals and vegetable crops don’t want to remain in a greenhouse, and the house owners say they’re completely satisfied to present them away.
Thursday morning, the additional foliage was given to any nonprofit that got here to the Chippewa Valley Growers greenhouse.
“They’re in a position to pick no matter they need for annuals, greens, take it to their group, plan it up, use it for a great use. So it’s labored out rather well. It’s rising yearly and it’s one thing we hope to proceed into the longer term,” John Kelly, Chippewa Valley Growers Proprietor, stated.
Kelly says it’s a practice that started with the earlier house owners, they usually love persevering with that legacy.
