Youngsters from Castor CE Main College just lately visited Castor Lodge Care Dwelling to bury a time capsule and plant a tree.

Residents have been delighted to welcome the youngsters from the college council to their garden to affix them for refreshments and a planting ceremony.

The youngsters purchased poems, letters, drawings and paintings that they had been engaged on to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Residents had time to have a look at their work which was on show within the care house earlier than it was safely sealed contained in the time capsule.

Saihaan, from Yr 6, was tasked with planting the oak tree to mark the spot the place the time capsule is buried within the garden. The youngsters have been eager to inform residents about their work and what that they had realized concerning the Queen’s 70-year reign.
