Three gardens within the district have been handed Inexperienced Flag awards – Manor Gardens in Exmouth, Connaught Gardens in Sidmouth and Seafield Gardens in Seaton – which East Devon District Council (EDDC) stated is testomony to the dedication of their StreetScene groups.

However the council now desires residents to return ahead to assist maintain the gardens in the absolute best situation.

“We at the moment are calling on all inexperienced thumbed residents to assist maintain their city’s wanting particular – with the hope every space can have a ‘Pals of…’ group,” an EDDC spokesperson stated.

“EDDC is planning to revive additional beds within the three gardens later this yr and within the spring of 2023 and actually wants volunteers to assist perform routine upkeep and become involved in additional restorations and enhancements.”

Paul Fealey, EDDC horticultural officer, is behind the plan to create the teams and can assist volunteers because the plan progresses.

He’s a former lecturer, coach and assessor in horticulture.
